I am very pleased to say that my literacy skills have vastly improved since the humble days of writing juvenile poetry about worms in a Holly Hobbie notebook.
During my 20 year career, I have squeezed in a plethora of interesting jobs including Santa's Helper and Easter Bunny Girl. After mastering those positions, I managed to move on to organising fashion parades, photo shoots, buskers and performers in Brisbane's Queen Street Mall and eventually on to Marketing Manager for Australian Multiplex Cinemas.
I have travelled the world and worked in Canada and the UK in public relations for Barclay's Bank and the Flora London Marathon, organised a bazillion events including corporate lunches and dinners through to golf days and major fundraisers.
Somewhere in this 20 year history I did manage to graduate with a Bachelor of Education, taught and worked in development, marketing and community relations at several leading private and independent schools in Brisbane and New South Wales.
With a passion for words, books and all things literary, I have come full circle and returned to my first love - writing.
Rest assured I now use a laptop and not a Holly Hobbie notebook!
